Chin-ju Lin    Professor


 

Chin-ju Lin is Professor in Graduate Institute of Gender Studies at Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. An activist-scholar, her research specialization are gender, race, intersectionality and social activism. Her early work focused on migrant women as well as intersectionality in changing Taiwanese families. Since the hit of typhoon Morakot in 2009, she has been engaged upon local Indigenous women’s responses to the disaster for more than a decade. Her current work aims at theorizing Indigenous women’s experiences in post-disaster recovery and climate change. Her recent publications include ‘Sovereign Practices of Indigenous Women after Typhoon Morakot’ (forthcoming) in Journal of Social Sciences and Philosophy; ‘ Indigenous Social Work in Disaster’ in Taiwan: A Radical Quarterly in Social Studies, and ‘The Colonized Masculinity and Cultural Politics of Seedig Bale’ in CLCWeb: Comparative literature and Culture
